Hemmaus Supper

Three characters sit at this table: Christ, the Good who recognizes the Messiah, and the Evil who denies his existence. At the moment of the blessing of the bread (in the Jewish way, not the Christian way which consists in making the sign of the cross over it) their eyes are opened and an inner conflict ensues that is consummated in an instant. Faith clashes with reason and will forever do so.
