The solo exhibition by Stefano Solimani “The mystery of the Absolute”, curated by Salvo Nugnes, was inaugurated Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Milan Art Gallery.

During the vernissage, presentation of the exhibition by the emeritus Professor Mina Gregori who also gave a speech on the figure of Caravaggio entitled “Caravaggio and surroundings”, with the evocative background of the works of Stefano Solimani.

The evolutionary pictorial process of Solimani is characterized by phases of research and in-depth study, with great formative value: he devotes himself to a personalized delineation of the human figure, also on a sacred theme, with particular attention to the female, reaching a representation of sculptural consistency and a very significant symbolic connotation. In the works, through the form and the color, emerges a real dimension, alive and pulsating, rich in spirituality enlivened by the disruptive chromaticism that transcends reality itself to rise and dream, in a dream vision.

While Solimani possesses a refined culture and a strong expressive temperament the Gregori, also known as the “Lady of Caravaggio” is considered a world-renowned expert with a life devoted to study and research, a woman who has traveled a long way marking our cultural evolution and influencing our way of savoring and interpreting texts and artistic essays.
